Water Park Expansion Plans and Pictures
Europa-Park’s 450,000 square meter resort extension is well underway. An elaborate Nordic theme and 25 water attractions guarantee an unforgettable adventure for the whole family at the Rulatntica waterpark. After an eventful day, the new four-star themed hotel ‘Krønasår’ invites large and small water lovers alike to dream and relax.
The foundation for Rulantica sits on an area equivalent to 63 football pitches. Not far from Europa-Park, Germany’s largest theme park, the Mack family is constructing the 45-hectare wide extension area in the southeast of the municipality of Rust, Germany. The family business will build one of the largest waterparks in Europe, as well as a sixth themed hotel. Together with Rendler Bau GmbH and Wilhelm Füssler Bau GmbH, two well-known family-owned construction companies from the region, the large-scale project will be implemented in several phases, opening at the end of 2019. -inparkmagazine.com
In the approximately 32,600 square-meter indoor area, waterpark guests can expect eight exciting Nordic themed areas, open throughout the year. The mystic Trøll Valley is perfectly adapted to the needs of the youngest visitors. A total of 25 attractions – including 17 water slides, Germany’s largest indoor wave pool, a relaxing Mystery River as well as many other highlights – promise hours of water fun. After an exciting and thrilling experience, the spacious rest area offers 1,700 deckchairs for relaxation. Eight individual Cabañas with catering services offer families an exclusive retreat. The 8,000 square-meter outdoor area offers plenty more to discover. In the fast-flowing Wild River, time seems to fly by. In the outdoor swimming pool, children can play and romp in the open while their parents enjoy some well-deserved sunbathing on one of the 500 deckchairs.
Guests can choose from a wide range of dining offerings. In addition to a spacious family restaurant in the style of a boat house, which offers many treasures from expeditions of the Adventure Club of Europe, as well as another self-service restaurant, there is a café which offers all sorts of sweet treats. In the bar, visitors can pamper themselves to their heart’s content. For water fans who do not want to leave the poolside for a soothing drink, the cool pool bars in the indoor and outdoor areas are just the right thing. Furthermore, three shops offer the opportunity to browse a bit, refresh the equipment, or to secure a small Rulantica souvenir.
Especially for families, the resort extension is a perfect addition to the best theme park worldwide. Before and after the refreshing adventure, a convenient shuttle service, which links the water world directly with Europa Park and the Europa-Park Hotels, ensures comfortable arrivals and departures.
The park looks incredible and stays in line with Europa Park's world-class theme park. This park is becoming a week-long destination vs. a weekend destination.
