Copperhead Strike at Carowinds Taking Shape Quickly.

New pictures of Copperhead Strike taken from ground level as well as the observation tower show the mess of track that will eventually become Carolina's first double-launch coaster.

Copperhead Strike is the first double-launch coaster in the Carolinas, the ride is created by MACK Rides out of Germany. The coaster leaves the station and goes into a jo-jo roll before heading into a themed launch building, where the train takes off to 42 miles per hour in 2.5 seconds. Guests will experience a series of fast, tight, close-to-the-ground maneuvers, another launch over an airhill, and flip upside down through five inversions.
