The Guardians of the Galaxy Ride construction is well underway.

The new Guardians ride heading to EPCOT will change the skyline of the park for good. It will be interesting to see how they blend the outside of the large show building into the surroundings, especially when looking at some of these pictures below by bioreconstruct.
From the Disney Springs parking garage, you can see how the large building will really change the incredible view of the iconic EPCOT ball. It will be interesting to see how they blend the ride into the skyline without making it a big white structure. Photo: (c)bioreconstruct

The Guardians ride is currently being billed as a family coaster, with a launch through a tunnel from the old Universe of Energy building that once housed Ellen's ride. There are rumors of the trains having a controlled spinning feature that may used during certain segments of the ride. The new ride is a much-needed refresh to the EPCOT ride lineup.

It's also worth noting that the people wary of Tower of Terror transforming into a copy of the Guardians counterpart at Disneyland should feel safe. It would be odd to have two similarly-themed rides in two different parks just over one mile away from each other.

The Guardians attraction is part of EPCOT's ongoing work to transform into a place that’s more family, more relevant and more timeless. “As we build upon its core mission of optimism and hope to inspire the world, the real will become fantastic and the fantastic will become real—in whole new ways at Epcot,” Bob Chapek, Chairman of Walt Disney Parks & Resorts, said. - Disney Parks Blog
